Comebye vs. Komodo
Komodo ships RBAC, GitOps, and unlimited hosts in its GPL-3.0 build — no paid tier exists at all. We're not going to pretend that isn't real competition. If "free forever, no support contract" is exactly what you need, Komodo deserves a serious look before you consider us.
Choose Komodo if: free-forever with community-only support is fine for you, and Git-triggered build pipelines are your primary workflow. Choose Comebye if: you need staged canary → prod promotion with a health gate, a compliance pack (SSO/SCIM, audit/SIEM streaming, session recording), or a vendor you can hold to an SLA.
Komodo's RBAC and unlimited multi-host support are real and free today, per its own docs. The two products optimize for different things: Komodo is a build pipeline first, with fleet management around it; Comebye is fleet governance first, with no build pipeline at all.
